Add a Price List Service

Adding a Price List Service enables you to list specific services your business offers, such as maintenance or inspections. You can include details like the service name, price, base cost, and category to ensure accurate billing and easy reference for jobs and estimates.

Prerequisites: Account owners and those with administrator access.

Instructions

1. From the Main Dashboard, click on the Administration tag.
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. You will enter the Administration Dashboard.
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Now click on the Inventory Settings tag to reveal the dropdown menu.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click Price List, to enter the View Price List page.
   
   
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Add Price List Item button, to be directed to the New Price List Item page.
   
   
   
   
   
   
6. Select Service, from the dropdown menu in the Item Type field. You will see the fields change and the page will display in a new view.
   
   
   
   
   
   
7. Fill in the relevant fields:
   

   ·       Item Type: Choose "Service" to indicate that you are adding a service rather than a product or discount.

   ·       Product/Service Name: Enter the name of the service being added (e.g., Inspection, Installation).

   ·       Service Base Cost: Add the base cost of providing the service. This is the cost before any markups.

   ·       Price: Enter the price at which the service will be charged to customers.

   ·       Product/Service Description: Provide a detailed description of the service, such as what is included or any specific features.

   ·       Short Description: Enter a brief description for quick reference.

   ·       UPC: (Optional) Add a Universal Product Code (UPC) for the service if applicable.

   ·       Category: Assign the service to a relevant category to help with organization and filtering.

   ·       Active: Indicate whether the service is active and available for use. Select "Yes" to activate the service.

   ·       Exclude from Updates on Import: Select "Yes" if you do not want this service to be updated during data imports.

   ·       Tax Categories: Specify the applicable tax category for the service to ensure proper tax calculations.
   
   
   
   

8. Once all required fields are filled, click Save to add the service to the pricelist. You should see confirmation “Saving Item, Please wait…”.
   
   
   
   
   
   
9. The Service will now be visible on the View Price List page.
