Add IT Equipment Manufacturers
Adding IT equipment manufacturers allows businesses to maintain a centralized database of trusted and commonly used equipment providers. This feature simplifies the process of categorizing and referencing IT equipment, ensuring consistency across inventory, reporting, and job management. By adding manufacturers, you enhance the organization of IT operations, making it easier to track equipment origin, streamline procurement, and provide accurate documentation for clients and internal records. With this function, administrators can quickly populate the database, ensuring a smooth workflow for teams managing IT-related tasks.
Prerequisites: Account owners and those with administrator access.
Instructions
- From the main Dashboard, click the Administration tab.
- You will enter the Administration Dashboard.
- Click on IT Settings.
- Click Equipment Manufacturers from the expanded IT Settings tab to enter the IT Equipment Manufacturers page.
- To add an IT equipment manufacturer, click the blue Add IT Equipment Manufacturer button, where you will be taken to the New IT Equipment Manufacturer page.
- Fill in the Manufacturer (Make) field and click Save.
- You should then be taken back to the IT Equipment Manufacturers page where the IT equipment manufacturer will now be visible.
