Refunds
Refunds in Suprata allow you to efficiently manage payment adjustments for invoices, whether due to incorrect billing, dissatisfied customers or other reasons. By following the outlined steps, you can ensure accurate transaction records while maintaining updated margins and financial data. Properly managing refunds contributes to streamlined accounting and clear communication with customers.
Prerequisites: Authorised Users.
Instructions
- Locate the Invoice you wish to refund.
- On the right side of the page you will see Payments.
- Click on the blue dropdown for the payment you wish to refund. For card and electronic payments you will see the option to Void. For check and cash payments, you will see the option to Refund.
- Click Void/Refund. The payment entry panel will expand to reveal the Process Void box.
- Enter a Void/Refund Reason, Then click the yellow Void button. You will see a popup prompting you to confirm.
- Click the green Process Void button, to confirm the refund. You will receive confirmation of the void.
- You will now see the voided payment under Payments. Margin will also be recalculated and visible on the right side.
